I’m sorry to post this, I’m sorry to be so posting before everyone is even home…but here the story:
Now I’ve seen the first group from LemonTown head towards Spree Park on an “official” tour.
We had a little chit-chat that these kinds of arrangements are very interesting and we should do more of these (every second weekend).
I’ve made a map from Google Earth with the current places that could be of intrest.
Spree Park is on, but is “done”.
I’ve been to Beelitz, and have contact details for a guided tour of this place.
the other 3 places on the current map is as far as I know not guarded (the 4th train station is).
There is an show called “Intersection Correlation” opening on Friday, 19 June at 19.00 hr.
Might be worth a peep.

Story: Amusement park from 1969 until 2001 when this happens; The owner of Spree Park, Norbert Witte went bankrupt and left Germany rather abruptly. He took several of the park’s rides including the Jet Star and Fun Express with him to Peru where he was to open a small park called Lunapark at Jockey Plaza in Lima, Peru.
One reason Mr. Witte has stated for the failure of Spree Park is the lack of parking. Spree Park is located in a protected forest so one cannot simply cut down the trees and build a parking lot.
In 2004 the owners of Tivoli Gardens purchased Spree Park and have said they wish to invest up to 200 Million euro in the park. It would become a combination of a leisure park, culture centre and marketplace.
Their homepage is here: http://www.spreepark.de/index1.htm
So ? when is it ?
There was talk of next weekend (2 days from now)
